Test operation of truck (traction, lifting, auxiliary functions and braking)

Battery Check

Battery voltage and acid level (top up with water. Excluding auto watering systems)

Battery short to chassis (+ and -)

Visual inspection of the battery cables and connectors

Visual inspection of electric motors

Electrical test of electric motors (amp draw, shorts to chassis)

Visual inspection of the fuses, electrical panel and contactors

Visual inspection of the power cables and chassis wiring

Check the operation of the lights, strobes and alarms

Fluid level check

Visual leak inspection (wheels are not removed except at annual inspection)

Adjustment inspection (adjustment not included)

Operational check (distance to stop, parking brake holding, stopping straight)

Shoe/pad and drum/disc inspection (checked annually if wheels need to be removed)

Operational check of the lifting device

Visual inspection of the mast channels and bearings, mast mounts, stops, chains, fork

carriage and forks

Visual inspection of the chassis

Visual inspection of the steering, steering bearing, gear/shaft, linkages

Visual inspection of caster, idler and load wheels and wheel bearings

Check the levels of all fluids, and topping up as necessary (documentation of fluid top-ups for follow-up)

Greasing of available lubrication points

Oiling of the lifting chains (as necessary, if applicable due to working conditions)

Lubrication of the mast channels as necessary
